I would like to say it was some kind of skill, but it turned out to be mostly that I just got lucky. :)

(but I'll still take some credit for it.) :D

I was just having one of those days where I could do no wrong….

I am usually pretty good about making backups, (sometimes :D )
But I had worked all night and didn’t make any backups,
Then the coder said he needed me to finish, so he could do his work because he only had 2 hours before he had to leave.

So I am trying to hurry and send him an email when my computer goes blank,
Of course at first I thought the worst, that I had lost all my work and would have to do it all over again.
Then I realized that it could be that my power supply had gone out, but there was no way I could go to the store and buy one then get it working in less than 2 hours.

So I am thinking the situation was hopeless,
Plus I really didn’t know for sure if it was the power supply or something else.

Then as I am about to cry, sure that I have lost everything, I just decided to be positive and just do anything I could do.

About then I remembered that I bought a computer part about 6 months ago but I never opened the box, I was using it as a door stop.
I looked at it, and it was a power supply,
The one that I needed, it cost $59.00 but I got it for $3.00 on sale,
So I just bought it because it was such a good deal, and forgot about it.

Anyway, I unplug the old power supply and plug in the new one, and within 5 minutes I find out that I didn’t lose any work, I send off my email with no problem.

And life is good, after a couple hours the coder send the code back,
and it worked the first time.
I am still in a little bit of shock over this extraordinary good luck.

I was wearing my white skirt from a game of lawn tennis this evening. On my way home, I fetched my neighbor friend who works as a waitress in a bar grill. It was almost closing time.
When suddenly, I felt a hand caressing my butt. It was a man and he was rather drunk. I smiled at him as my hand groped for a nearby hefty glass ash tray. Before he can say a word, I smacked the ash tray real hard on his nose. He went down kneeling and holding his bleeding nose with a howl.
But I didn't stop there, you know. I made a step towards him, grabbed his head, lifted my right knee, and slammed it with all the energy that I got on his already bleeding nose.

Touch down! The people cheered, the man was accosted by responding policemen, and I got unexpected free drinks from astonished customers.

It's high time we women teach these rude maniacs some manners.
