I went to a county board of supervisors meeting last week, they are building some million dollar homes on a empty piece of land here in Sacramento. The developer wants to build more of them and the neighbors want less of them.
They spent an hour talking about how the bus routes are going to impact the people who live in these homes. It was all I could do to keep from screaming or laughing, I can’t imagine anyone who can afford to spend a million dollars on a home but has no money to buy gas or a car, so they are forced to ride the bus!!!
How many of these people could there possible be, but that’s what they are using to make their decision.
Then they went on about another 30 minutes about how sad it was that poor people could not afford these million dollar homes, so they wanted to build them without front yards and cut the price to something like $950,000 so that more poor people who ride the bus could afford them.
I guess people with no common sense start to get on my nerves after a couple hours.
