new member from germany

hey guys...

...i live in germany and i hope to enjoy my membership here ;-)

I´m a industrial mechanic in the biggest coal concern and i have to look after the machines in and above the mines and keep them working.


I´m activ in the underground for more than 4 years now. Usually in the ftp/fxp-area. I´m acting as a scanner and and upper.


Enough about me ;-)

We have a lot of member from all corners of the earth and understand that English is not the first language of many. I think to be able to speak at all in a different language than your native tongue is absolutely fantastic. I live in Canada, and we have 2 languages (French and English) and I have to sadly admit my French isn't so hot, even though I studied it for years at school. So, you and all our other friends from around the world are absolutely wonderful in my book.

I noticed that when I was traveling that I would run into teenagers who could speak English pretty good, I would ask them how they learned and they would say they took a couple English classes at school.

I took 4 years of Spanish, and I can count to 10 and tell time. There is no way I could carry on a conversation with anyone, unless they asked me very slowly to count to 10. :)
