Welcome gnrlove,

I went to visit someone who was in northern Sweden, I remember the sun coming up and shining through the window waking me up.

I was really disoriented and blamed it on the time change, so I got up and got up and put my clothes on, I was sure I must have slept until 10:00 am or later.

Then I found a clock and it was 3:00 am.

That doesn’t happen much here in California. :lol2:

What a wonderful place to live gnrlove, but all that darkness in the winter and the Northern lights, but 24hours light in around June. it all sounds very different to London UK:flower: :wave:

I like the snow and darkness...it's peaceful. I live in the middle of nowhere in Canada and it's sure no where near as north as you, the more northerly climes do have there appeal.

yeah wll, currently we have -9 degrees celsius... not excactly extremely cold, but still... :)

And yes, I agree, the snow is great, but it can be a real pain in the ass from time to time... like when I have to clear our drive-in... :)

I am so lazy, I don't even clean the driveway. I let people park on the road...and since my truck died, I don't go anywhere through the winter...so I have no reason to shovel.
Though today, Christmas, it's like May - warm, no snow, kind of misty...Yikes, I hate to think what warm places are like - may as well be walking on the sun...
