Hello All!

Best of the season to everyone. Nice board you have here and thanks in advance to all the posters! Your work and diligence is always appreciated. I hope to be a contributing member to your fine establishment and will endeavor to assist in any manner I can. My expertise in is server/network design and I do a fair amount of web design on the side. VMWare and virtual servers are my latest passion. I'm in the process of re deploying all of my home servers (13) into virtual clustered machines with fault tolerant failover and high availability. Blah blah blah...but I know there is at least one more technoid here than me! Happy to be a board (get it)!

Cheers all!

Thank You Cheri! I found you folks thru google (of course) while looking for a prog that will convert iTunes m4p to mp3 for a firend of mine. BTW, have you noticed odd behaviour with Rapidshare and IE7? It may be my ISP and I'll have to put a packet sniffer on him and analyze the traffic but it looks as if there may be issues with the IPs and subnets. Do you recommend a browser to your users? If I use Opera, its all good. Another vote against IE!

I hear you...yes great for Windows. Opera pretty much comes from the linux world and I just have it installed everywhere at home for consistencies sake. Using IE7 just to test it and get used to the gazillion workarounds cuz they're gonna wanna use it at work. The IS boss is a bit narrow minded that way. Fortunately tho', for those of us that have control of the network, we pretty much do whatever the H we want.

Welcome Jackrussell

Hope you enjoy being here and have a wonderful New Year!

I'm an artsy chick, not so techy - like C++ and such, but I know some about Flash and Music programs... that's the cool thing, everyone has different talents and here we can all share them.
