We have agreed that in future all our banners have to be colours that will fit in with our colour scheme. Thats is tones of blue, or with white and maybe a small touch of another colour. Also it has to be quite small so that pages load fairly quickly for people on dialup. We try not to make things hard for them.
Its good of you to make them GD but I think they are a bit big for us. But I thankyou for careing enough to take the time to do them.
And yes, please make some more.:flower: :flower5: :flower5:

here is some information on the banner for the top of our forum....

if anyone is interested in making a banner for this site I just wanted to give you a little information about the requirements for the banner.

1. it must be in a gif format.

2. the best size is 10k or less, but it can not be more than 20k, so the people on dial up will be able to still use our site without waiting too long.
(the file size requirements may be changed, at this point I think we are going to increase the max size)

3. width 335 and heigth 170 seems to work ok. it could be 180 in height, but the width must be 335 or less.

4. Cheri must approve the design to have it put up.
(dark backgrounds don't seem to look good with the curent site colors)

well we are kind of in the middle of deciding that,
someone pointed out that there are not that many dial up users so we are thinking about increasing the size limit
probably at least 30k to 60k

Cheri is even looking at one banner that is 160k

so I guess the answer is that right now we don't really have a limit.

if it looks cool it will be considered no matter what size,
but I am thinking it should probably be smaller than 100k though...

Well Don't Make 24 bit or 32 bit banners, try to make 16 bit banners :)

Tip:
I wouldn't worry about the dialup thing alot. I'm on dialup and once you go to a page it takes a while for something to load up, but after that it's in you temp internet files, and unless you delete your temp files, it loads up quickly everytime after that, so go for it!!! :wave:

Thankyou jhimhope for making the logo's but all our logos must be similar colours to the old banner so it fits into out theme.
We have also changed our name to Utopia, as our old name was attracting too much attention to us from the wrong people.
