it seems like a waste of time to use search if we have to watch out for all those words

i hope u complain to vbulletin

Actually you don’t have to keep track of them, you can type as many of them in as you like and the system will just ignore them, like it has always done.

But, It looks like with the upgrade they added an error message that tells you when you have typed in a 3 letter word, where before it just ignored it and went ahead with the search.

I can add some of the words back in if you want, but the problem is if you add those words in then you will just get thousands of responses, which will work about as well as just browsing through the forum, so then the search would be worthless,

if you put the word “and” in a search it will just list about every 2nd or 3rd post which won’t really help anyone.

so it looks like your options are to try and remember not to use 3 letter words or like SirDavid suggested start.putting.dots.between.all.your.search.terms. :D

and, I don't think vbulletin listens to me anymore. :(

I suppose if you really wanted to search for 3 letter words you could use the google search
