Hehehe, now that's cool. :) I went to an auto repair shop and they had couple of industrial fans going. In front of the fan, they had a plastic jug of water will tiny holes in it. The water would slowly leak out of the jugs and be blown out with the airstream of the fan. You would get cooling at a minimal cost.

When I was a poor University student I made a humidifier like that. I had a pan of water and an upside-down strainer with a moist towel on it (like a wick) and a fan blowing across it. It worked quite well, but I must have kicked it over a thousand times and it looked atrocious.
