View Full Version : microsoft windows media player question
I always copy from my desktop by pressing the ctrl - prt scr buttons, then pasting to a graphics program and then saving as a file.
This has worked on everything on my desk top except today when I tried to copy something from windows media player, I think it may not work on the flash player on websites either.
anyway, can someone tell me an easy way to copy pictures off of my windows media player?
thanks,
Cindy

I've seen this question asked before, unfortunately never saw a reply that worked. WMP doesn't have capture capabilities. You can use a different media player that has capture capabilities, such a BSPlayer Free http://www.bsplayer.org/en/bs.player/home/?BSPLAYER=fcd0821a9dc5949422afff4dcf60d4fd

Thankyou GG
Thanks Gray Ghost,
I just wanted to make sure there was not something simple that I was overlooking,
windows does a really good job of capturing everything else, because I use it all the time, it seems crazy that windows will capture almost everything except it’s one of it’s own players.

Lol, that does seem crazy don't it. Check out this program Neo:

I've been using it a while now, you can capture just a rectangular area of you choice instead of the whole screenshot if you want, and it will also automatically reduce the size of the pic if you wish...

I use 'hypersnap' - I have a hotkey for it I use it so often.
In Windows Media Player Tools -> Options -> Performance tab slide the video acceleration slider to the extreme left (set to None).
Then you can just do a regular printscreen and it will work.
