For those celebrating today (or tomorrow...never sure which it is) - have a wonderful holiday!
I am cooking a ginormous meal tomorrow, but am getting ready some things today. I can't decide if I should make straight apple pie, or blueberry/apple or strawberry/apple (Pumkin is a given - though I think it's gross).
I hate Turnip too...but others love it, so I will make it for them.
Gobble...gobble...gobble...
I thought thanksgiving was in November?

Where is this day celebrated? Its not something we have in the UK
Thanksgiving Day in America is a time to offer thanks, of family gatherings and holiday meals. A time of turkeys, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. A time for Indian corn, holiday parades and giant balloons
the Pilgrims landed and had lunch with the indians and that was the first Thanksgiving,
Thanksgiving is celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November, which this year (2006) is November 23rd.
I think a long time ago it was earlier, then they changed the date for some reason.
ok... I just found this.

I remembered Canada's T-day being on a different date than America, but didn't realize it was so much earlier. Thought I had woke up in a time warp :)
Happy Thanksgiving Penny!

Well the Americans changed their thanksgiving day In 1939, President Franklin D. Roosevelt decided it was not close enough to Christmas or something like that.
Gray Ghost, your probably just thinking about before it was changed. ha ha ha
Ok, I ate an extra big breakfast this morning to celebrate the Canadian Thanksgiving day, so I did my part. :D
