Making money online

just wondering if anyone was making any money online, or interested in making money online?

One of my first sites started out and was making a little money, I was very excited and thought if I could get 10 or 50 sites doing the same it would really turn into into something.

So I made a whole bunch of sites similar to the profitable one, and none of them have made anything. :(

Without giving away too much information, what was the subject of the sites?

oh, it's no big seceret, like I said I made several similar sites and they haven't made anything. I think it would be like making a copy of Google, they make billions but your copy would be very unlikley to make you a single dollar.

anyway, the site that I have targets the keywords "making money online" I have found that if you target keywords that are too popular like "money" then you have so much competition that you get no traffic with the search engines. If you go after useless keywords then you can rank number 1 but no body searches for them so you get nothing.

So half of the problem is finding keywords that work, then the other half is making a site that can use them. It looks like I just got lucky once then never got lucky again.

although I have had more than one person tell me that they only have 1 out of 50 or 1 out of 100 sites that are popular and producing good money, so then it becomes a matter of how quickly can you build 100 sites. For me it's a slow process and not really worth the time I end up spending on them.
