I had to read your post twice Penny before I actually realised you had said Pennies! Made me go all weak and dizzy!

Weirdest thing I've eaten is Marmite/Vegimite...

Not exotic, but tastes blooming wierd... should be a warning on the label..

Baby octopus, head and all.

I was at the beach one time and a guy I know came walking out of the ocean with something in his hand... He had an octopus on a small piece of wood, he was holding it up I thought he was just going to show it to me when all of a sudden he pulls out a knife and cuts off one of the legs.

The octopus really didn't like it and was starting to crawl up the guys arm to try and get away, the leg was kind of twisting around on the piece of wood, and he holds it up and asks me if I want to try fresh octopus. I just couldn't eat the leg with the octopus watching me.

So he eats it and said it was really good. That's as close as I have come to eating octopus.

That guy, has guts to eat something like that raw, I would be freaked about internal parasites like hook worms, tape worms, round worms, and such.
