It seems like everyone's stuff around me is breaking all at once. Last week my dad called and his phone service from vonage was giving him problems. So I went over and worked on it. Then I called vonage and got them to work on it. The end result was that he was happy with the way his phone ended up working.
Yesterday I get an emergency phone call from my dad, I was thinking someone died or something...
No, my dad found out that his tivo was not connecting and getting the new tv guide information. So in a couple days he was going to start missing the shows he has scheduled to record. I told him to calm down and I would come right over and see what I could do.
After a couple hours I figured out that probably vonage changed one of their settings and either installed service pack 8 which has problems with tivo, or they changed the service from high density to medium which knocked out tivo.
anyway I made a few more phone calls and everything was working again so the crisis was over.
