7 Computers
All my power tools
20+ years of clip-art CDs

Up in smoke.

I'm handling it OK with a lot of help from my friends.

You read about this happening to others but never to yourself.
It's hard to console someone who has gone through this..I'm sure.
One consolation....no one perished or was injured in the fire.

I sometimes tell myself...should I ever experience something like this...they are only THINGS.
To lose a child..a family member... a friend would be devastating.
Many people appreciate life a lot more after an experience like this.

I wish you well in the days to follow as you slowly get your life together.

Very sorry to hear about your loss.

The people who moved in next door to me had their previous house burn down, the first day they said they only saved what they were wearing at the time, since they were not home when it happened.

I remember he was trying to think of all the things they would need to buy at the store for their first night at the new house,
like toothbrush, soap, bed to sleep in, sheets, blankets.
