uploading slowness

Hey, Why is uploading so much slower than downloading? When I upload, my whole system slows down, but when I download, I can still do stuff. Means I do all my uploading in the night.

i know what u mean...when i upload i might as well go and do housework cause i can't even play the xp games because my pc is sooooooooo slow:mad: :D :eek:

most isps have upload speeds that are only about 1/10 of the download speed, and when you down load I think it is a little less processing to copy the file to the disk than to get it ready to upload it.

Upload Speed is Less - 1/10
Download Speed - 1/8

ex.: if you have 128 KBPS Speed - Upload is 12-13 KBPS & DWNL is 15-16 Approx.: KBPS......:)
