Did everyone in the USA remember to set their clocks back this morning at 2am?

Here in Canada too...
We had a snow storm and the power went out and I didn't realize it was 'fall back' day and so I got up at 3:00 am because I wanted coffee before the power went off permenantly...as it likes to do. Later I realized it was actually 2:00 am, and that's even a tad early for me. I had to have a nap in the afternoon to reset myself.

Here's a pic of what I woke up too in the backyard.

I had to work 13hrs Sun nite instead of the regular 12 http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a176/GrayGhost_60/Smileys/pacifier.gif
When the clocks at work got to 2am, they just stayed there for an hour and then started again, man you talking about time standing still, lol.
Wow Penny, I can't imagine having that much snow already, it hasn't even gotten very cold here yet. We usually only get one, maybe 2 snows here a year, some years none, and they usually don't stay on the ground but 3 or 4 days.

13 hours!!!! I can't imagine - poor you!!!!

I like the snow and where I live we get 'lake effect snow' so we get way more than almost anywhere else. I don't like shovelling, but this guy that lives nearby comes and snow blows me out when it's heavy. He also shovels off the roof ... I bake him pies.

I'm going to get new boots next month, and I'm looking at these cool Mukluks - but they are around $300 - but it's probably worth it. Last year I made a coat and knit a hat, scarf and mitt set over the summer, so I think I'm almost ready for the winter - Bring it ON!

Rosy, I thought Daylight savings time was invented by a Canadian out west somewhere...I'm surprised you don't enjoy the confusion of it all.
I heard tell that those silly Americans are going to mess with it next year and make it 2 hours or earlier or something. We are of course following along because we don't want our tv programs messed with...don't mess with a Canadian's American TV (or Tim Horton's donuts)

I think Benjamin Franklin invented daylight savings time but he couldn't talk the US into using it, I think Germany was the first one to start then several other counties in Europe joined in.

and the law in the US that gives us daylight savings time runs out this year so they have to pass a new one or we won't have it next year, and some people are saying if we are going to make a new law then change it somehow. I think that's what Penny was talking about.

That's what I heard anyway, I haven't checked any of this on Google to see if it is true or not.

Oh Joy! If there is any sport in the world I loathe it's Hockey! I don't actually like any sports, but hockey is irritating because you can't even sit and knit while someone watches, because it's like having a root canal.
