Busy today and ???

A friend came over to visit me and his car broke down in front of my house. It started out looking like a simple easy to fix problem and so I thought I would help him take care of it. It was leaking a little water, I was sure we could replace a hose and get him on his way.
Well it turned out not to be a hose but a small metal elbow that is part of the intake manifold.
Tried to take it off and found out that it doesn’t come off.
To make a long story short, his cars engine is now all over my front yard and we are looking for a new lower intake manifold but it turns out to be a rather rare part and we have been 5 different places trying to buy one and can’t find it.
Looks like I know what I am going to be doing for the rest of today.

Yea you're in for a job, I've been there and done that. Think I had that exact problem years ago on a Ford Ranchero I used to own.

I did get it back together, with a little luck and a prayer. and I did think a couple times about taking a picture, but I didn't want to get my camera all greasy. Now I realize I could have asked someone who didn't have grease up to their elbows to take the picture. That would have been simple. oh well, next time. :)
