LOL, well it was either bacon and eggs (about the only thing I could cook a few years ago) and fast food joints, or learn to cook some decent food. So I started downloading all the recipes I could, have a ton of them on my computer :D

Woot For Good Dinners!
I know how to cook spagetti, that's about it, anything else and someone else needs to cook it, or I go out and buy it.

I love cooking...especially baking. Everyone complains that I'm trying to fatten them up, but there is nothing nicer than sitting around with family and friends and gorping out on rich flavourful food. I'm also a bit of a fanatic to keep it as close to natural as possible, so I never eat prepared food like out of a can or something nor do I go to a fast food joint. I cooked in a restaurant for a long time and know what shortcuts some places take...yikes.
I bake bread every day and there is nothing like fresh, warm bread with homemade preserves for breakfast.

Yummm, homemade bread. I've made bread a couple of times, turned out ok, I have a yeast roll recipe that's fairly simple that I like to make. Someone gave me a small bread machine (mixer I guess you'd call it) recently, but have yet to try it out :)

gasp! YOU HAVENT USED IT YET???
My uncle had a bread maching and he really loved it, used to make bread all the time. I guess you just throw some mix stuff in it and turn it on and a few hours later you have some bread.

I actually have a bread machine, but I don't use it all that much...sometimes for mixing if I'm in a hurry. I just don't like the texture of the bread (it's over risen) and has this hole in the bottom, also it's a weird shape. Besides, I make rolls a lot or cinnamin (sp) buns and of course you can't make them in the machine. It's ok for mixing pizza dough.
It definitely makes a different type of bread, I kind of like it but sometimes it does have giant holes in it, and it’s kind of weird if your trying to put butter on your bread and you have hole in the middle of it.
