ok, this may just be me.... but, it really really annoys me that with windows vista you have to hunt for the shut down button.
I turn my computer off at least once a day, so I am clicking around for the shutdown link, and it just annoys me.
so here is the fix for that problem.
click on "start"
"control panel"
"classic view"
"power options"
then click on "change plan settings" - for the preferred plan that is selected, you have 3 radio buttons to chose from.
click "Change advanced power settings" - a new window pops up here.
find "power buttons and lid" click the plus sign to the left.
click the plus for "start menu power button"
change setting to "Shut down"
and now the shutdown button appears when you click on "start".
I am much less annoyed now. :)
