I can't remember if I posted this or not?
but incase I didn't...
You can host your site for free with Google, by using their http://sites.google.com/
I have set up a couple of domains like this, and it's a little goofy but it does work.
They have detailed instructions on how to go to the site where you have your domain name registered and make the changes.
It's a little tricky because they do it by kind of redirecting your site to google, and they only allow www.example.com (http://www.example.com) not example.com
so you also have to forward your domain to www that will make them both work.
Anyway, Google is probably going to be around for a while and that's one of the biggest problems with hosting is when they go under.
The web pages you can set up are a little limited, but for basic pages Google does a great job of easily letting you edit them.
So if you have a domain name and you just want to set up a basic site for free. Then Google Sites is a big thumbs up.
